Literature Text

And if we sit alone in our cocoon,
Tossed wildly by the wind,
Will we give in and end it all?
No, we will fight with our hands and heads,
Ignoring our demons.
Should we watch the light saturate?
Only if we can defeat the unseen,
Only if we can unseat the meaning,
Only if the treason at heart is murdered.
A war cry starts with a dream,
And a dream with a nightmare.
To no longer feel the walls of solitude on my back,
But the feeling of contentment lift me over them.
And if we sit alone in our cocoon,
We'll be thrown into the stone.
Unless we decide to end it all,
And quit covering ourselves with our fears.
Sitting alone in my room, among the thoughts of my friends and past, I came to an astounding realization.
I was alone. I was alone in life, alone in thought, alone in dream and in understanding.

I wrote this shortly after my abrupt disruption ceased to weigh me down.
